Ever since TV actress Smriti Khanna embraced motherhood, her post-pregnancy weight has been a hot topic of discussion. In a couple of pictures and videos shared by Khanna, we could see her flaunting her perfectly toned body and abs, despite going into labour. Well, a section of her followers also question Smriti’s abs and called them edited; however, she shut them all with a savage reply. Well, unlike what most of us think, Smriti Khanna has actually gained weight and she aims to lose it within the next few days, hence all the sweating.
In an exclusive conversation with SpotboyE, Smriti revealed that post her delivery; she has gained 9 kgs and was very thin in the past. She said, “I am 9 kg up from my actual weight as I was very thin earlier, but hence it’s not really visible. I hope to lose these 9 kilos within the next 45 days.” Sounds unbelievable, no? Because the actress looks as fit and maintained as she always was. Upon being asked what helped her in maintaining weight throughout her pregnancy phase, Smriti said she controlled the portion of her food cravings and did ample amount of yoga and walks.
She said, “I continued my walks till the last day of my delivery. I used to walk 6000 steps, if not at one go, then at least through the day, but I followed it rigorously. I also got pelvic girdle pain which was very bad. I remember main karvat bhi nahi le paati thi. Aur haan, I used to do Yoga thrice a week and in lockdown, I continued doing it till the end online with the help of Zoom App. For pregnant ladies, Yoga helps a lot.”
During the interview, Smriti also revealed that she and her hubby Gautam are yet to decide a name for their baby girl, as the one they had shortlisted got coincidentally chosen by one of her cousins. We also can’t wait to get their munchkin’s first full glimpse.
