Sreesanth, who recently got back in limelight as he participated in the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 12, is finally heaving a sigh of relief. The judgement in his spot-fixing case has been given out, just a few minutes back, and the great news for him is that Sreesanth’s life ban has been set aside.

Last night, cricketer’s wife, Bhuvneshwari Devi had tweeted, "For 5 long years we have waited for tomorrow. Pls pray for us. Tomorrow is the verdict.” We’re sure she too is beaming with joy.

Talking about the SC ruling in the spot-fixing case of an IPL match played between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab in Mohali in May 2013, the Court has directed the disciplinary committee of BCCI to take a decision on the quantum of punishment within 3 months from today. Significantly, the Court has not disturbed the findings of guilt made by the disciplinary committee against the Kerala based cricketer.

Meanwhile, Sreesanth’s fans on social media are also elated with the news. Here are a few tweets of his fans, appreciating the SC judgement:

In his last hearing on March 1st, Sreesanth had claimed that the life ban is absolutely unfair and that he was continuously tortured by Delhi Police for a confession. The controversial cricketer’s counsel told a bench of justices Ashok Bhushan and KM Joseph there was "no clear proof" and evidence of match-fixing and Sreesanth has suffered a lot in the past five-six years. On the issue of Sreesanth’s confession before police about his involvement in the alleged crime, the lawyer had said, "The confession was due to continuous torture by Delhi Police. According to Sreesanth, police had threatened to implicate his family if he does not confess to the crime."
