Superstar Singer first season has been one of the best singing reality shows. The show has garnered a lot of love from the audience, all thanks to the amazing contestants. Last night, it was show’s finale episode which ended with a bang when the nine-year-old singer Prity Bhattacharjee takes the trophy home. Prity becomes the winner of the first edition of Superstar Singer. Hailed from Kolkata, Prity was named the winner of Superstar Singer over the weekend after battling it out with six finalists which include, Chaitanya Devadha, Harshit Nath, Sneha Shankar, Ankona Mukherjee and Nishtha Sharma to bag the first-ever title.

The top six finalists ensured that the audience as well as the judges had a tough time choosing the winner, however, it was Prity who emerged as a winner in the musical night. Apart from taking the winner's trophy home, Priya also took home prize money of Rs. 15 lakhs. While the other runner ups were awarded Rs. 2 lakh which will go towards their educational fund. During an interaction with Times Of India, Prity shared that she wants to sing for Deepika Padukone as she is her favourite. She even said that she likes the veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar, Shreya Ghoshal, Alka Yagnik, and others.

In the finale episode, the three judges- Himesh Reshammiya, Javed Ali and Alka Yagnik entertained the audiences with their singing performances while the captains also joined them in delivering mesmerising the same. The episode also had stand-up comedians Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek who appeared as guests in the final episode and send the audience on a laughter riot. 

Superstar Singer used to air on Sony TV every weekend at 8 pm while the show was hosted by Jay Bhanushali who recently became a father of a little daughter, Tara Jay Bhanushali.
