Actors Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput’s separation came as a shock to their fans. Having built their careers together with Ekta Kapoor’s serial Pavitra Rishta, they were one of the most adored couples in the Indian television industry. Fans were looking forward to seeing them build a happy life together, however, everything shattered after the late actor announced their separation on Twitter. While the actress is now happily married to businessman Vicky Jain, she often opens up about her past relationship.

During a recent episode of Bigg Boss 17, the actress opened up about how the breakup with the late Kai Po Che actor took a toll on her. She even shed light on the real reason behind their separation. In a conversation with co-contestant Munawar Faruqui, she shared how she had been in a relationship with Sushant for several years. She explained how the breakup not only left her shattered but even her parents were heartbroken. When probed further about the trolling she faced after her ex-boyfriend's suicide in 2020, she explained that she jumped into the matter to issue clarifications as people needed to know who the real Sushant was. Talking about the breakup and the real reason behind it she said there was none. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, the 38-year-old actress said, “Main kahi involved nahi thi, fir bhi main khadi hui because main chahti ki log jaane vo kaun tha. Log tab kaha the, jab mera breakup chal raha tha. Main vo phase akele gujazara... There was no reason for breakup. I was blank.. Ek raat mein cheeze change hui meri life mein.”

After her breakup with the late actor, Ankita tied the knot with her husband Vicky Jain in a grand ceremony in 2021. The couple has been living their best life as they are often seen taking to social media to flaunt their lifestyle, leaving admirers in awe. On the work front, they are currently participating in Bigg Boss 17. Over the past few days, they have been making the headlines for their quarrels in the reality show.
