Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Producer Asit Modi Hints At Replacing Disha Vakani; Says, ‘Tappu Aaya Hai, Ab Nayi Daya Bhabhi Bhi Aayegi’
Asit Modi has yet again opened up about Disha Vakani’s return and the possibility of replacing her with a new actor in an interview
For the past eight years now, the makers of the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have been hounded for an update on Disha Vakani’s return to the show. There have been several reports over the years about the makers searching for their new Dayaben, that Disha will be soon returning to the show. Now, producer Asit Modi has yet again opened up about the same during a recent interview.
During his recent interaction with the media to introduce Nitish Bhulani as the show’s new Tappu, he spoke about the age-old curiosity of the fans. Talking about if he is bringing the old Dayaben back or will he be searching for a new one, quoted by India.com, he said, “Iska jawab dena thoda bahut kathin hai. “Bhagwaan se ye prararthana karta hoon ki yeh show ye kirdaar karne wapas aajaye. Ab unka ek parivaarik jeevan hai aur who apne parivaarik jeevan ko pradhaaniye de rahe hain toh unka aana thoda mushkil lag raha hai,” he continued.
For the unversed, Disha got married to a non-celebrity Mayur Padia in 2015 and is a proud mother to two kids. Hinting at the fact that they are planning to introduce new Daya Bhabhi to the show, Modi said, “Lekin ab Tappu aagaya hai toh ab nayi Daya Bhabhi bhi jaldi aa jayegi. Daya Bhabhi ka wahi Garba, Dandiya, sab Gokuldam society mein shuru hojayega. Thoda samay intezaar kijiye.” ALSO READ: SHOCKING! He went on to stress on the fact that the TMKOC family misses Disha as much as the audience does. He said, “Lekin main darshakon ki maang samaj sakta hoon ki who Daya Bhabhi ko miss karrahe hai, main aur mera parivaar bhi miss karta hai. Abhi zayda der nahi hai, ab Daya Bhabhi jald dikhengi.”
Talking about the show, over the years a lot of actors have been replaced and re-casted. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is currently the longest running comedy show on Indian television. The show had recently made it to the news for not clearing the dues of their past actor, which was later dismissed by the team.
