Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Producer Asit Modi Refutes Rumours Of Late Ghanshyam Nayak To Be Replaced; Says ‘No Plans To Bring New Nattu Kaka’
Ghanshyam Nayak, who was known for playing the role of Nattu Kaka on the popular show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, passed away earlier this year. While his tragic demise left everyone in tears, there were speculations that the makers of the popular sitcom will introduce a new actor to replace the late actor. However,  producer Asit Modi has dismissed such rumours, saying that as of now they don't have any plans to replace Ghanshyam’s character or bring another actor to play Natukaka.

While speaking to ETimes TV, the producer said, “It's been hardly over a month since the senior actor passed away. Ghanshyam Nayak aka Natukaka has been a friend and I have worked with him for many years. I valued his contribution to the show. As of now, we don't have any plans to replace his character or bring another actor to play Natukaka. There are many rumours doing the rounds but I would request viewers to not pay any attention to them.”

A few days ago, a picture of a man, seated in an electronic shop, went viral. And the post soon gave rise to speculations that the makers had found their new Natukaka. Taking about this viral picture, a source close to the production house was quoted saying, “The senior gentleman seated on the chair inside Gada Electronics is not an actor. He is the father of the real owner of the shop and the shop belongs to him. The prodution house hasn't found a replacement for Natukaka. But, people should not spread false information, too.”

For the unversed, Ghanshyam Nayak breathed his last on October 3 at the age of 77. He was battling cancer. His last rites were held in Mumbai on October 4.  Also Read: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Makers Find New Nattu Kaka To Replace, Late Ghanshyam Nayak In The Show
