Here is some good news for all the fans of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' TMKOC, which is one of the world’s longest-running daily comedy shows, will now stream in an all-new avatar on Netflix. Yes, you read it right. The animated series titled 'Taarak Mehta Kka Chhota Chashmah' based on the popular comedy show will begin streaming on the OTT Platform from Feb 24, 2022. Its creator Asit Kumarr Modi is quite confident that the new animated series will be loved by everyone, especially kids.
Sharing the big news, the producer of TMKOC Asit Kumarr Modi said that as long as the content is great, the show can foray into other mediums also. Talking about its OTT release, Modi was quoted by IANS as saying, “It also reiterates that pure humour can bring a positive transformation in our society and at Neela Film Productions, spreading joy is pivotal to our ethos. We`re glad that our viewers especially, kids will get to enjoy 'Taarak Mehta Kka Chhota Chashmah' on OTT as well.”
He added 'last month, a report by Amazon revealed 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' as the most searched TV show in Hindi on its Fire TV Device. Now, the show's animated version will be available for viewers on Netflix.'
For the unversed, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is based on the weekly Gujarati column Duniya Ne Undha Chasma by late playwright Taarak Mehta in Chitralekha magazine. The first episode of the sitcom aired in 2008 and now the show is running in its 14th year becoming a household name with over 3300 episodes. The popular comedy sitcom features Dilip Joshi, Munmun Dutta, Shailesh Lodha, and others.
