Aashish Bhardhwaj revealed how he felt when he was replaced overnight from an ad commercial featuring Priyanka Chopra
Getting replaced in a project has been a thing when it comes to assignments in the entertainment business. A similar case had happened with actor Aashish Bhardhwaj currently seen in the TV soap, Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Naa. The actor plays Yash on the show; his bond with Anjali Tatrari who portrays his on-screen sister, is appreciated by the audience. The actor in conversation with ETimes Tv revealed being replaced overnight from an ad commercial that featured Priyanka Chopra.
Narrating the incident he said, “A lot of times. I can't even count the number of times that has happened especially after getting shortlisted. Once, I was about to shoot a commercial with Priyanka Chopra and I was really excited. The team gave me the confirmation, the budget was also discussed, everything was done and I thought that I just have to go tomorrow and shoot for it. The production team told my casting team that the shoot is not happening and it has been postponed because Priyanka Chopra is travelling to the US. So, when she returns, we'll do the shoot then. I agreed to it and thought that the shoot would happen after some days.”
However, the next day he saw on his social media feed, some other person being featured in the commercial. He continued, “Next day, when I woke up, I was scrolling through my social media feed, and I found out that a person I knew was doing that part. I was shocked and heartbroken and asked my casting person about it but they kept saying that he had a different part and we will shoot with me later, which never happened.”
He adds, “This happens quite often but you cannot fight with anyone because there are various reasons behind the decisions taken, which are out of your control.
