The Big Picture: Rohit Shetty Has The Kindest Words For Simmba Star Ranveer Singh As He Makes His TV Debut, 'He Will Be A Successful Host'
Khatron Ke Khiladi host Rohit Shetty who directed Ranveer Singh in Simmba reacts to the news of his new quiz show, The Big Picture.
Bollywood star Ranveer Singh is all set to make his television debut with the quiz show 'The Big Picture. The actor recently announced he is turning a TV host with the much anticipated upcoming show. In his statement, Ranveer Singh speaking about his television debut said, “In my journey as an artist, the urge to experiment and explore has been constant. Indian cinema has undeniably given me everything - it’s been a platform for me to excel and showcase my skills as an actor and I have been fortunate to get immense love from the people of India."
"Now, I look to connect with them in an extremely unique and engaging way through my television debut with COLORS’ The Big Picture. The proposition of introducing India to a ‘now’ generation quiz show sealed the deal for me. I am delighted to associate with COLORS to bring alive this exciting new property,” he continued. And now Ranveer Singh's Simmba director and a close friend Rohit Shetty who is also hosting another show on the same channel Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 has shared his view of him turning the host with the quiz show. Rohit Shetty said, "Yes he is also joining COLORS TV family, package deal hai (laughs). He will be a successful host. We had a lot of discussions around him making his debut with hosting. The show which he is hosting is of a different format and I am sure he will be good in it definitely."
The first promo of this new show begins with Ranveer talking about the different characters he has played in films, over the years. Singh tries his best to explain the concept of his ‘anokha’ quiz show to his audience and viewers. Introducing the game format, Ranveer explained in Hindi, “Ek anokha quiz show, jahan tasveeron mein milenge sawaal, aur jawaabon mein milenge karodo (A unique quiz show where questions will be found in pictures, and millions will be found in answers).” He concludes saying, “Big Picture-Tasveer se Taqdeer tak.”
