SpotboyE.com was the first to tell you that Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki actor Amit Tandon and Ruby’s marriage has hit a rocky patch, post which the actor revealed to the section of the media that the two have filed for a divorce.

While grapevine suggested that Amit’s loyalty towards Ruby was questionable, the larger story is that what transpired between the couple is similar to the story of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Abhimaan which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.
Amit had work(three TV shows, five songs) but in contrast Ruby became an A-lister almost overnight.. Ruby, a dermatologist by profession, has a roaring practice in Santacruz and Andheri and the who’s who of the telly world and a number of Bollywood stars as part of her clientele. Goes without saying, she moved around in an elite social circle, which resulted in an irreparable ego clash.
Arguments became the order of day and things went from bad to worse with each passing day. Neither of the two tried their best and eventually, the couple, who have a 7-year-old daughter Jiyana, filed for divorce.
But what a sad end to this love story today, Dr. Ruby finds herself in Dubai jail with no way to get out as yet. For those who have come in late, Ruby has been lodged in Al Raffa Jail in Dubai for over a month now.
SpotboyE.com has it from a source close to Ruby that certain DHA (Dubai Health Authority) officials have alleged that Ruby threatened a few government officials.
Despite differences, Amit has been besides her during the turmoil. However, Ruby’s bail plea has been rejected twice and the actor was unable to get her back to India.
