Kapil Sharma is one of the most loved stand-up comedians that we have in the industry and there is no denying that. His popular comedy show 'The Kapil Sharma' came back with its exciting third season and during its run on TV, the celebrity chat show topped all the TRP charts and was a hit amongst the audience. But do you know that Kapil hiked his fee by Rs. 20 lakh per episode for the third season? Yes, you read that right!
According to the latest media reports, the ace comedian charged Rs 50 lakh for each episode and Rs. 1 crore for each weekend. It is being reported that the third season of the celebrity chat show had a total of 80 episodes and, for these episodes, Kapil earned a whopping of Rs. 40 crore from the show. Wow, that’s huge. Kapil Sharma was reportedly taking Rs. 30 lakh per episode till its 2nd season but when the third season started he increased his fee per episode to Rs 50 lakhs.
To note with ‘The Kapil Sharma Show season 3’, the comedian made his comeback after going through a rough patch in his life. Kapil was battling depression before he returned with the new season. Meanwhile, Kapil along with his teammates- Chanda Prabhakar, Krushna Abhishek, Rajiv Thakur, Kiki Sharda, and Sumona Chakravarti will be in US and Canada for shows. Recently, he posted a photo of him smiling and posing with his team from their Canada work trip on his Instagram account and wrote, “Crew that laughs together stays together Styled by - biwi @ginnichatrath #MyTribe #MyVibe #vancouver #britishcolumbia #kapilsharmalive2022.”
They all will next head to the US for their comedy gig.
