Over the past few weeks, it has been widely reported that Kapil Sharma’s comedy chat show The Kapil Sharma Show would be going off-air in June. Fans had taken to social media to express their sadness over the news. The biweekly show enjoys a huge fanbase, who wait for the comedian and his team to return with the different gimmicks every Saturday and Sunday. Well, now Kapil has reacted to all the rumours regarding his show.
Currently in its fourth season, the comedy show often sees celebrities from different career paths coming on the show to talk about their journeys. During his interaction with ETimes, the comedian reacted to rumours of his show ending soon. While he didn’t confirm it, he explained that the entire team will be travelling to the USA for a live tour in July. He went on to reveal that nothing is finalised yet, and they will see what to do when the time comes. Quoted by Koimoi, he said, “It is not finalised yet. We have to go to the USA for our live tour in July and we will see what to do around that time. For the unversed, the show has often made the headlines for Kapil’s fallout with his team members Ali Asghar, Sumona Chakraborty, Sunil Grover and Krushna Abhishek, who have been a part of his various comedy chat shows. During the promotion of his slice-of-life drama Zwigato he had shared that he shares a good relationship with everyone except for Sunil. He shared that despite people saying he has rivalries, he believes that “I have no rivalries with anybody, I am the one and only.”
