TMKOC: Ghanashayam Nayak AKA Nattu Kaka Reveals He Wants To Work Till His Last Breath Amid Cancer Battle; ‘I Would Like To Die With My Makeup On’
Over the years, veteran actor Ghanashyam Nayak has entertained a massive fan base, playing the role of Nattu Kaka, on the longest-running sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was recently reported that the 77-year-old actor is battling cancer. His illness, however, has not stopped him from working. Amid cancer battle, the TMKOC fame says he would like to die with his makeup on. He reveals he wants to continue working till his last breath. Ghanashyam Nayak said he only wants to fulfil his wish.

Speaking with ETimes, the actor opened up about his cancer diagnosis and said, “I am a positive person and never get upset or negative in life. I want to work till the last breath of my life and would like to die with my makeup on. I just want God to fulfil my wish". Nayak added that he "going to live for 100 years and nothing will happen to me, I know that for sure". Earlier, it was reported that the actor is undergoing chemotherapy. His son confirmed during an interview that Nayak is doing well. Ghanashyam Nayak’s son said his father is undergoing the chemotherapy session once a month. In September last year, the veteran actor had developed a lump on his neck. He underwent successful surgery for that as well. This year, in April, Nayak was diagnosed with some spots in his neck. Since then, he started undergoing chemotherapy.

Ghanashyam Nayak has worked in about 350 serials with 200 Gujarati and Hindi films. The actor started working as an actor at the age of seven. He played a child artist in the 1960 film Masoom.
