TV actress Sameeksha Sud who is also a TikTok celebrity and a social media influencer enjoys a huge fan following. The actress who has been part of popular shows like Baal Veer and Doli Armaano Ki had a candid chat with us about her journey from being a TV actress to becoming a TikTok star, link-ups with Vishal Pandey and Bhavin Bhanushali, plus her plans to return to the small screen.
What inspired you to move to TikTok and had you anticipated massive fame on the social app?
I didn't join TikTok with the intention to become a social media influencer. In fact, when I had joined the medium, it was known as Musicly and I doubt at that time any such profession existed. I joined the medium because I used to like making videos. I definitely didn't know that it will be so successful going ahead as my parents have always told me to do what I like and not focus on whether it will bring me success or not.
What is the best part of being a Tiktok star according to you?
The best part of being a TikToker or a social media influencer is that it has made me an entrepreneur, because I can do things my way and as per my time. I am my own boss as I don't have to work for someone else.
Does competition exist here as well?
I think it exists in everything. Agar ghar mein do bahuyein hai aur dono khaana bana rahi hai toh usme kiski roti zyada gol hai usme bhi competition hai. And I personally feel healthy competition is good to move ahead in life.
Do you think your Television stint was not as successful?
I won't say that I didn't get the desired fame during my television journey. People did recognise me as a TV actor but the popularity which I attained after turning a social media influencer is beyond my expectations. After all, I have been a trendsetter as I am amongst the first few to debut on this medium whereas the TV industry is vast and there were already a lot of actors who are way ahead of me. I feel I didn't get the right opportunities in the TV industry or else I would have been equally successful there as well. I am hoping I get those opportunities now.
People keep linking you up with Vishal and Bhavin. Is those confusion deliberate to create a mystery about your love life?
See, it’s very common to link up famous personalities. So it’s the same case when it comes to Vishal and Bhavin. We make videos together and most of them are romantic so people tend to feel something is brewing between us. I’m okay with all these things because at the end of the day, our videos are being loved by the audience.
Are you planning to make a comeback on Television and what kind of roles/shows are you aiming for?
I would love to do a light-hearted comedy show because that's the genre I enjoy the most. I would love to do Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai, if I get the chance. I simply love the character of Angoori Bhabhi in it and I feel that I can essay it really well.

Right now, the world is going through a lot of crisis and things aren't smooth enough. So I would like to tell all my fans and well-wishers to stay at home and stay safe.
