TV Gets A New Sai Baba: Tushar Dalvi To Slip Into Abeer Soofi's Shoes In Mere Sai - Shraddha Aur Saburi
According to the latest reports, Abeer Soofi has called it quits. He will be replaced by Tushar Dalvi in the show, Mere Sai - Shraddha Aur Saburi
Abeer Soofi essayed the role of Sai Baba for two years in the show, Mere Sai - Shraddha Aur Saburi. As the show has taken a leap of a few years, the actor is all set to make an exit from the show, citing that he cannot pull off an older character and said that someone with more maturity and experience should play this role. However, it is said that Tushar Dalvi who was last seen in Vighnaharta Ganesha, will be replacing Abeer in the show.
Talking to BT about the leap and exit, he said, “Post the leap, the character will look convincing if someone with more maturity and experience plays this role. An older character demands a certain kind of physicality and I don’t think I would have been able to pull that off.”
He added, “Mere Sai has made me what I am today. Had it not been for my health issues, I wouldn’t have ever thought about leaving the show. I have some skin and back issues. Yes, I could have quit the show earlier, but I didn’t want to do it abruptly. Now that a time-leap is all set to be introduced, we mutually decided to part ways. I am glad that the team understood my problem and worked out a solution. Having said that, I am quite sad that I have to leave like this.”
This show narrates the story about Sai Baba of Shirdi. He helps many people of Shirdi village and even fulfils one's needs. He had corrected the mistakes of many villainous and greedy people who hate him and his teachings. He showed them the path of Dharma and made them, devoted only to God. Well, now viewers, get ready to see the new Sai baba onscreen as Tushar Dalvi is set to take over the small screens. The show also stars Kishori Godbole as Bayaza Bai and Vaibhav Mangle as Kulkarni Sarkar (Negative Lead).
Mere Sai - Shraddha Aur Saburi airs on Sony TV at 6:30 pm.
