TV Star Asha Negi To Star Opposite Abhishek Bachchan In Anurag Basu's Next?
Looks like TV actress Asha Negi is joining the list of ladies from the small screen who have made their way to the movies
After Mouni Roy, Ankita Lokhande and more; looks like another face from TV is all set to mark her entry in films. We are talking about Rithvik Dhanjani's girlfriend and co-star of Pavitra Rishta, Asha Negi. If reports are to be believed, Asha may make her Bollywood debut with an Anurag Basu film. The film in the discussion has Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in the lead.
As per a report in Times of India, Asha has been roped in to play Abhishek Bachchan's love interest in the film. Anurag Basu's this venture is said to be the sequel of 2007 release Life In A...Metro even though the filmmaker denied these speculations. There is no confirmation on Asha Negi's debut as of yet. Neither from the production house nor from the actor, but if true, is going to be a great start for Asha in films. Let's wait for the official announcement.
Asha Negi has been a prominent face on TV. Not just in Pavitra Rishta, she has played pivotal roles in serials like Ek Mutthi Aasmaan and Bade Acche Lagte Hain. Of late, she changed her route to web-series and made an appearance in Alt Balaji's series called Baarish. She featured opposite Sharman Joshi in this one.
