Urvashi Dholakia On Keeping COVID-19 News Under Wraps, ‘Didn’t Want People’s Perception About Me To Change’
On October 10, Television’s original Komolika Urvashi Dholakia revealed that had tested positive for COVID-19. Almost after 25 days, Urvashi made the big revelation and said she has recovered now and is COVID free. Now during her latest interview with ETimes, Urvashi revealed why she kept the big news under wraps. TV’s OG Komolika revealed that she didn’t want people’s perception to change about her and she didn’t want them to be scared of her after she steps out of her house post recovering from Coronavirus.

When Urvashi was asked how it all began, she told ETimes, “It started at 6am and that’s quite an odd hour. I am prone to low blood pressure (BP). So, when my BP dropped that morning, I figured something was wrong, but couldn’t put a finger on it. I had been careful and barely stepped out, except for a haircut. What really got to me was the fact that I was infected despite abiding by the precautionary measures. My struggle was more mental because my mother is 84 and I have my two boys, too. The question was how do I isolate myself in the same house, considering we are so close. While this was mentally draining, physically, I had good and bad days.”

Urvashi revealed that she has been paranoid about standing near her mother. She added, “I am paranoid and still don’t want to go near my mother. The phase has made me a little more conscious than I already was. I had also lost my sense of taste and smell and was happy when I could taste my cup of tea again. I love solitude, but this time around, it wasn’t by choice. It was heartbreaking to have my sons talk to me from a distance and keep my pet away from me for 14 days.”

Revealing why she kept it under wraps, she added, “I didn’t want people’s perception about me to change when I stepped out. They shouldn’t be scared of me. That was something that bothered me a lot when I was recovering.” (ALSO READ: Urvashi Dholakia Aka Komolika Reveals She Used To Wear Ekta Kapoor's Mom's Blouses At Times For Kasautii Zindagii Kay-EXCLUSIVE)
