Veteran actor Dinyar Tirandaz, known for his memorable work across television and films, passed away in Mumbai on June 11, 2026. The news of his demise surfaced on social media and left fans, colleagues, and members of the entertainment industry mourning the loss of a performer who entertained audiences for decades. Tirandaz was especially admired for his impeccable comic timing and his portrayal of distinctive Parsi characters on screen.

The news was first shared by the Facebook group “Parsi Zoroastrians Worldwide – The Hyderabadi Page.” The post read, “Mr Dinyar Tirandaz brother of Late Rustom Tirandaz has left for his heavenly abode. Paidust today at Wadia Bungli, Bombay, at 3:45 pm. Sarosh Yazad Ni Panah. Ashem Vohu.” According to reports, the actor passed away in Mumbai, though the exact cause of death has not been disclosed publicly.

Following the announcement, tributes poured in from members of the film and television fraternity. Actor Suresh Menon paid his respects by commenting, “Om Shanti,” while actress Chitrangda Singh expressed her condolences with folded hands emojis. Dinyar Tirandaz began his acting journey with the 1984 film Duniya and went on to build an impressive career spanning television and cinema. The character remains one of the most loved and memorable Parsi roles in Indian television history.
