TV actress Reem Shaikh, who is currently seen in Zee TV's Tujhse Hai Raabta, confirmed her exit from the show to one of the leading media portals, recently. Reem has been associated with the show as Kalyani for 2-years and her decision definitely left her fans upset.
However, within a two days time Reem changed her mind and issued a statement informing she is not leaving the show and will continue to play Kalyani on the show. Well, this definitely raised a lot of eyebrows. And now SpotboyE.com gets you an inside story behind the change in mind. Reem who is being loved by the audience was in the mood to explore something new in terms of work. In fact, the pretty actress had also bagged a project in hand but the channel convinced her to stay back in the show. A reliable source informed us, "Reem was finalised opposite Param Singh for Sony TV's new show. The show is being produced by Gul Khan and it's a romantic show. However, at the last moment Reem stepped back from the opportunity as her ongoing show makers convinced her to stay back."
We tried contacting Reem's father to get confirmation on this but he chose not to reply.
While confirming her exit, Reem had said, "Yes, I have decided to move on because of some personal reasons and also because I want to explore other options. It has been a successful two years with the Tujhse Hai Raabta team and it is with a very heavy heart that I have taken this decision and I hope my fans keep supporting me. I just felt that this is the right time for me to challenge myself as an artist and experiment. I am very passionate about my work and hope good work finds me again. Nonetheless, I have been blessed with the best cast and it was not an easy decision, for sure."
And giving the reason for not leaving the show, Reem maintained, "Further to a lot of speculation around my leaving Tujhse Hai Raabta, I would like to clear the air and reassure my fans that I intend to continue doing the show. The character of Kalyani is extremely close to my heart and there's a gripping narrative still waiting to unfold in the show's upcoming plot. Yes, I recently had a discussion with the show's makers about certain creative aspects but we have been able to iron out any differences and arrive at a fruitful consensus. I am very happy with the way my character is currently shaping up and can't wait for my fans' reactions to the new twists they're about to see."
It will be interesting to see which actress will finally star in Gul Khan's romantic show. A few media reports suggest that Niyati Fatnani who was seen in Gul Khan's supernatural series Nazar as the protagonist has been finalised for the role.
