Sony TV’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 made a mark in the hearts of the audience. After having a good run on the small screens for two years, the show is all set to end. A reboot of Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar starrer serial of the same name, the show started off with Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar essaying the iconic roles of Ram and Priya. After a generational leap, the reigns were taken over by Niti Taylor and Randeep Rai.
Well, according to ETimes, the cast recently wrapped up the final shot. Hours after there had been a buzz that the show might get an extension till the end of the month, it was reported that the show will be going off-air and the final episode will be aired on May 24. Quoting a source close to the serial, the publication mentioned that even the cast was informed about the extension. The source further added, “However, nothing of that sort is happening and the wrap-up, that it is going off air, confirmed.”
Hiten Tejwani, who essays the role of Lakhan, Ram’s brother, expressed his gratitude towards the producer Ekta Kapoor for giving him a meaty role. He went on to say, “She has always given me good work. I love working with Balaji Telefilms. I had scenes with everybody and became friends with many of the co-actors of the show. I wish it had gone on longer but what could we do?”
Talking about the show, it had been a breath of fresh air for the fans in the midst of the same saas-bahu drama centric plotlines with different story backgrounds. The show never thrived on suspense, and they didn’t drag out confrontations either. Fans will surely miss the show once it’s over.
