Actress Poonam Pandey enjoyed a huge fanbase due to her fashion statements. She never shied away from sharing the details and hardships of her life. The news of her passing left a hole in the hearts of her admirers and shocked the entertainment industry. As condolences started pouring in, a well-known film critic Umair Sandhu’s tweet started going viral. Despite having expressed his shock at the news in an earlier tweet, he now claims the actress is alive and the news of her passing is just a publicity stunt.

Shandhu took to his official X, formerly known as Twitter, handle and claimed that he spoke to the last actress’ cousin, who told him about it. He wrote, “Just called #PoonamPandey Cousin now, And she is Alive & enjoying her death news. She did Publicity Stunt !!!” It is safe to say that his tweet has left the netizens furious. While many are demanding proof of his claims, others are slamming him for being insensitive. Some even urged him to delete his post where he condoled Pandey’s death if his tweet was true. For the unversed, Poonam’s family is yet to release an official statement regarding her passing. As per her team, who shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram handle, she passed away at the age of 32 due to cervical cancer. Her family is currently unreachable. 

In an interview with Zoom TV Entertainment, ever her bodyguard expressed his shock. He stated that none of her family members are answering any calls and her house in Uttar Pradesh has a locked door. He added, “I have no idea what is happening. On January 31, we did a photoshoot with Rohit Verma at Phoenix, and it went well and then for the next 2 days there wasn’t any work planned.”
