Raqesh Bapat in a new interview has revealed that he experienced his first love when he was in college, he used to chase a girl on bikes and cycles
TV actor Raqesh Bapat was recently in the headlines for his breakup with Shamita Shetty. Both the actors, who fell in love in Bigg Boss OTT house parted ways after dating each other for several months. But do you know Shamita was not Raqesh’s first love? Surprised right? Yes, the actor himself made this candid revelation in a new interview and revealed that during his college days, he fell in love with someone for the first time and he used to chase that girl a lot.
Speaking with Bollywood Bubble, the Maryada actor stated that it was like sort of Jo Jeet Wahi Sikander kind of romance and that it was the real thing. Raqesh was quoted saying, “It happened when I was in college and that was my first love. That is the only time, I think I have chased somebody literally, literally you know like I’ve gone behind her on bikes and cycles and all that. It was like a Jo Jeet Wahi Sikander kind of romance, so yeah that was the real thing. After that, I have never because at a very early age I got into this industry and I was 19 when I became Mr India. The actor went on to add that he never had the time to fall in love again. It just like coincidentally happened and he just went with the flow. “That’s why when you ask me what is love? or chasing love anything of that sort, so for me you see I’m an artist, and as I have said that it’s all about energy. When I paint it is cosmic for me it’s divine for me, so anything that has good energy is God for me and you don’t Chase God it just happens to you,” Bapat explained.
Raqesh Bapat has been unlucky in love twice. He got married to actress Ridhi Dogra but in 2019 the couple got divorced after eight of their marriage. However, both share a cordial relationship with each other and are on friendly terms. Raqesh then found love in Shamita Shetty and both looked madly in love. But their love could not sustain long as last month the actress announced their separation via a post on social media.
