On August 11, 2019, SpotboyE.com broke the news of Shweta Tiwari filing a case against her second husband, accusing him of molesting his step-daughter Palak Tiwari. Shweta had filed a case in Samata Nagar police station, Mumbai and the accused was sent to police custody till August 13. Later, the actor was out from the custody as Borivali court had granted him bail. Since then, time and again, Shweta Tiwari opens up about her marriage. She had even called her married life poisonous.
In December last year, Shweta Tiwari had revealed to Hindustan Times how she was being the scapegoat post their separation. She had revealed that people around her told her it was her fault. She said, “It’s easy for people to say, ‘Ladki ne hi kuch kiya hoga ya usme hi koi problem hogi, tabhi doosri shaadi bhi nahi chal payi’. When I got married at the peak of my career, people told me that it’s over for me. But I didn’t let people’s opinion penetrate my mind. I didn’t even care what my khandaan will say, who only asked me how I was doing once in five years. I just care about myself, my kids and my immediate family.”
Mere Dad Ki Dulhan actress further had added, “If anyone tries to harm my family, they hold no importance in my life. I don’t give them attention. But whoever keeps my family happy, helps them grow, I will go that extra mile to do anything for them.”
