Will Kapil Sharma’s Contract Be Discontinued By Sony Entertainment Television?
The Kapil Sharma Show is a family favourite and the show which airs on Sony has made Kapil Sharma a household name.

But after a tumultuous few months, which started with Kapil’s mid-air brawl with Sunil Grover, the show as we know it may become a thing of the past.

Buzz is, Sony may discontinue its contract with Kapil Sharma.

Kapil’s contract was supposed to be renewed in April but three months have passed and it is clear that Sony is unsure about a commitment.

According to industry sources, one of the reasons being cited for this shocking development is Kapil Sharma’s health.

Over the past couple of months, the comedian has fainted on the sets thrice.

Ashwin Dhir's Guest In London cast Paresh Rawal, Kartik Aryan, and Kriti Kharbanda were already on the sets to promote their film when Kapil fell ill and the shoot was called off.

And this Wednesday, the Mubarakan cast also returned without shooting as Kapil once again got sick.

Besides this, the falling TRPs of the show too have not gone unnoticed by Sony.  The show lost its spot in the Top 3 of the TRP list after Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar, Chandan Prabhakar and Sugandha Mishra left the show and was recently ousted from the Top 10.

In between, we brought to you exclusively the news that Kapil was seen shooting for his upcoming film Firangi the very next day after he fainted on the sets and was hospitalised

We wonder whether Sony will let go off the popular comedian who has led the flagship show since 2016. Only time will tell.
