Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Shivangi Joshi CONFIRMS Naira Coming To An End; Says She Will Always Hold Her In A Special Place In Her Heart – VIDEO
As Naira from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is no more of the Goenka family, actor Shivangi Joshi who essayed the role for many years has now bid adieu her special character in a video message. Watch it here
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai which has been entertaining the audience since 2009 gave us multiple reasons to stay hooked to the show. Earlier, it was Naitik and Akshara’s love saga and now, it was Kartik and Naira’s story that managed to leave everyone awestruck with their love and chemistry. Apart from the unexpected twists and turns, it was the magic of Kaira, as they are fondly called by their fans, that electrified the TV screens. But in a surprising turn of events, Naira falls off from a cliff and dies, leaving her husband Kartik in grief. Nevertheless, the channel released a video message from Shivangi where she is bidding a farewell to her character and says that Kaira lives on.
In the video message, donning a white salwar suit, she says that Naira has taught her many things in 4.5 years and got the opportunity to play different shades of a woman. Further, she says that Naira will always hold a special place in her heart just like her million fans but now Kartik will stay in people’s heart. Singing off, she asks if the fans will support Goenka parivaar. Talking about her reaction when she found out about her character being killed, she revealed that she was choked because of the emotions.
She told TOI, “I think everyone on the sets knows about my first reaction when I was being narrated Naira's death sequence. Mohsin was also there, we were together while hearing the narration. I started crying, I wanted to stop my tears and I tried my best to control my emotions but I couldn't control myself. Even Rajan Shahi sir asked me why are you crying but I had no answer. While rehearsing I was choked because of the emotions.”
Earlier, some media reports suggested that Shivangi Joshi is upset over her death sequence and a fall out had taken place between her and show's producer, Rajan Shahi. However, SpotboyE.com exclusively informed that it's not true as she will enter the show in an all-new avatar.
