Produced by Rajan Shahi, Star Plus’ show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been running successfully for almost 15 years now. Starring Samridhii Shukla, Shehzada Dhami, Pratiksha Homnukhe, and Shivam Khajuria in pivotal roles, the show is one of the most-watched shows that often tops the weekly TRP charts. Despite introducing the new generation of the show, the makers have failed to impress their audience. In the last few episodes, it is seen that Armaan and Abhira promise to not be husband and wife. The Poddars refuse to accept Abhira as their daughter-in-law.

Today’s episode starts with Armaan seeing Abhira asleep. He goes to wake her up and she imagines him to be her mother, Akshara. Abhira wakes up and stumbles after she sees Armaan. He catches her and helps her up. He tells her to unpack her clothes. Rohit wakes up and blushes as he sees Ruhi get ready. Rohit and Armaan help Ruhi and Abhira unpack their belongings and set up the room. Kiara enters Armaan’s room as he and Abhira are taking care of her spilled makeup bag. She gives Abhira a toothbrush and goes away after reassuring Armaan. Dadi asks Vidya why she bought two dupattas for Ruhi’s muh dikhai ceremony. Vidya says that since Abhira is a part of the house now, it would be appropriate to do her muh dikhai too. Dadi gets angry and throws the dupatta on the floor stating that Abhir isn’t their daughter-in-law. Abhira stands tensed as Armaan tries to explain to her that he will be there with her. He convinces her to come downstairs and eat something as she has been hungry for over 3 days. As Dadi stands by her statement, Vidya tries to convince her to accept Abhira. Dadi gets angry and states that she will throw Abhira out of the house one day. She declares that Abhira will never be a part of the Poddar house. Kajal comes to Abhira and asks her to make a sweet dish for the family as it is her first time cooking in the house. Abhira refuses stating that no one will eat the dish she cooks. Armaan tells Kajal that he will bring Abhira down, as she is scared to go down. Kajal appreciates him and states that he should always support his wife. Everyone seats themselves around the table and Dadi starts having breakfast. She praises Vidya, who tells her that the breakfast was made by Ruhi. Dadi appreciates her and gives her toffee, leaving everyone happy. Abhira holds Armaan as they enter. Dadi taunts them. Abhira doesn’t sit at the table and states that everyone will get uncomfortable if she sits at the table with others, she then leaves. Abhira is seen making noodles for herself while making a mess of the kitchen. As everyone enters the kitchen, Dadi gets angry. Abhira offers a plate to Dadi but she goes away. Vidya and Ruhi come there. As Abhira apologises to Vidya for messing up the kitchen, Ruhi tells them that she will clean the kitchen. Ruhi makes Vidya explain that Abhira, whole life changed 2 days ago and that they need to give her some time to handle herself.

As the episode comes to an end, Armaan overhears Dadi and Sanjay planning to throw Abhira out of the house. He pleads with them not to do so. In the next episode, it will be seen that Abhira and Ruhi will be dancing. However, Abhira’s saree comes off and Armaan rushes to help her. Dadi says Abhira has disrespected their name.
