Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai shoot resumed a few days back, and now we hear that show's actress Swati Chitnis has also gotten back to the sets after recovering from COVID-19
SpotboyE.com was the first one to tell you Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan starrer Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain's cast and crew had tested positive for Covid-19. On August 25, the news had reached us that Sachin Tyagi, who essays the character of Kartik's father Manish Goenka, tested positive and along with him two more cast members and other four crew members also tested positive.
Late in the night, the makers released an official statement announcing the development that along with Sachin Tyagi, Swati Chitnis and Samir Onkar with four crew members have tested positive. Swati Chitnis, who is playing Suhasini Goenka in the show, has finally resumed shooting from today. A source from the set informs us, "After testing positive for COVID-19, the actress was under self-isolation and now when she has fully recovered she has joined back the shoot". When we asked about Sachin Tyagi's health the source added, "He is yet to resume. He was first down with dengue and then COVID-19 was detected, hence, he is weak and might take some more time to recover."
While testing positive, Swati in her statement had said, "I would like to clarify that I have tested positive with covid-19. Luckily, I am asymptomatic and doing well, recovering fast. I have been monitoring my health from time to time. Hopefully, I will bounce back soon. Rajan Shahi is the best producer I have ever worked with and actors are well taken care of by his team."
Also the producers had maintained, "Swati Chitnis, Samir Onkar and Sachin Tyagi who are an integral part of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', have tested positive for COVID-19, but the three of them are asymptomatic. Due to safety reasons, they are in home quarantine. BMC had advised them for the same as they were showing no symptoms. Immediately, the entire on-crew team was isolated and tested. Four crew members have now tested positive. The BMC has been informed and the entire set has been sanitised and fumigated. Currently all of them are receiving medical attention in home quarantine."
