Post the COVID-19 lockdown and even amidst the lockdown, many TV shows were either wrapped up unannounced or within a short span of time, after the TV industry resumed shooting. One of the shows currently being aired on a leading GEC, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke which is said to go off air, has got its fans furious over the makers. Viewers expressing their anger over this development about their favourite have warned the makers to boycott the channel.

#BoycottStarPlusIfNoYRHPK is seen trending on the micro-blogging site, Twitter. The avid viewers of this show are urging the makers to extend the show by 2-3 months and see if it gets the desired TRPs, followed by the show to run longer on the small screen platform and not end abruptly as planned by makers. Show is aired on Star Plus since March 2019 and stars Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma. Their fans have coined a name for them depending on their onscreen names Misha and Abir, MishBir.

We think these tweets will compel the makers to re-think on their decision.  Also along with the viewers asking the makers to extend the show, they are agitated with the show being replaced by Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 recently announced by the GEC. ALSO READ:
