HIT OR FLOP: Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Kundali Bhagya, Khatron Ke Khiladi 9, Naagin 3?
A Thursday full of SURPRISES and we really like it when it's TOPSY-TURVY. Keeps the channels and production houses on their toes
Week 10 of 2019 was a great week for Ekta Kapoor. Four shows from her stable have shown an upswing- Kundali Bhagya, Kumkum Bhagya, Naagin 3 and most importantly, her ambitious venture Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 but surprisingly only now that Hina Khan is on her way out. 9 in Week 9, it's 7 in Week 10. A quick question: Is it that everyone is waiting for the drama that will lead to Hina's ouster or is it that they are too fond of Hina and want to catch as much footage of her as possible?
Kundali Bhagya, which was very popular at least until Khatron Ke Khiladi burst on the scene to change the ratings of many other shows, has climbed back to 3. Is it a coincidence that KKK 9 ended only this week? It's old twin, Kumkum Bhagya, which was not to be seen in the Top 10 last week occupies the bottom of the ladder. We also observe a climb from 3 to 2 for Naagin 3, this show too was always topping the charts before KKK 9.
Super Dancer 3 has shown a big deterioration in viewership- very surprising but I would say, heartwarming. Surprising because- the finale is drawing closer. Heartwarming because- the dangerous, deadly stunts of kids has grabbed lesser eyeballs and will motivate lesser children to do such harakri.
Good to see Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala going up from 6 to 4, though I definitely don't agree with Loveleen's attempt to kill her daughter so that her husband starts giving her attention.
Meanwhile, Rajan Shahi has something to cheer about, his Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai is on 8 unlike 7 in the previous week. Divya Drishti had managed to get into the Top 10 coveted list last week (it was at 7) but is nowhere now. A bubble that burst too soon? Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has managed to squeeze in, occupying the last spot i.e. 10. Good to see it back, it was quite a regular, consistent member of the Top 10 until just few weeks ago.
Lastly, Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 continued its Numero Uno reign.
