We know you’re excitedly awaiting to know which show fared high on the TRP meter and which show failed to impress. We talk about Week 13 of 2020, but unfortunately, as COVID-19 hit the nation, and a lockdown was pronounced by PM Modi in the country, even the shooting of our TV shows came to a standstill.
So, several channels started airing re-runs of old TV shows and indeed some of them, have ranked quite well on the TRP chart proving that OLD IS GOLD. The top slot is occupied by Ramayana, the 1987 TV series aired on DD National and now with its re-telecast, the viewers are hooked on to their TV sets, reminiscing on the good old days.
On the 2nd spot is the dance reality show India’s Best Dancer. Well, if you have noticed then there has always been an audience for dance shows so it’s not something new. The 3rd in line is Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi 10. Since the show was shot in entirety a couple of months back, the episodes are pretty much on track for the viewers.
On the 4th position is Barrister Babu. It’s interesting how the show has maintained the momentum from Day 1. Guess who’s next on the list? Shaktimaan! The show which made Mukesh Khanna an overnight sensation back in 1997 is on the 5th slot and clearly, it still has several takers proving that old content still rules the roost.
Next in line is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. This is one show which has been airing its reruns on weekends and people still don’t seem to tire themselves seeing the old episodes, indicating that the fanbase for it is immensely huge.
Shubharambh is placed on No 8. The show which has been on air since a long time is finally making its presence felt on charts. Next in line is Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki which is back in the game and finally, we have the spiritual show Mere Sai on the 10th slot.
