Anupamaa: Gaurav Khanna AKA Anuj Opens Up About His Equation With Rupali Ganguly And Sudhanshu Pandey-EXCLUSIVE
In an exclusive chat with SpotboyE.com, Gaurav Khanna talks about working with Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey in Anupamaa
Actor Gaurav Khanna has managed to win hearts with his brilliant stint on the popular daily soap 'Anupamaa'. The actor, who plays Anuj Kapadia in the show, has left everyone impressed with his acting prowess and of course his chemistry with Rupali Ganguly. While speaking exclusively to SpotboyE.com, Gaurav opened up about working with Rupali and Sudhanshu Pandey and asserted that he feels lucky to have co-actors like them. The handsome star also admitted being a fan of Rupali’s popular comedy show ‘Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai’.
Gaurav shared, “Working with Rupali Ganguly is really good because I like her as a performer in most of the shows, especially her show Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai has been one of my favourite shows back then. I told her that I really love her comic timings also.” He added, “She has been very supportive towards me since my character of Anuj is not very easy to play. So, I feel lucky to have a co-actress like her. Our scenes come out very nice and people have loved our scenes together and we get a lot of love from fans saying that they want to see more of our scenes together. It's been an amazing experience. I am loving these seasonal actors every day and I still believe that when you work with a good actor on screen, the scene goes to a different level and that's is what's happening with Anuj's character. Rajan sir has really got a brilliant ensemble cast on the show that's why all characters are coming out so good and are relatable with fans. I feel really lucky to be on the show.”
He goes on to add, “My equation with all the actors are great. They all have been very welcoming as I entered the show probably after a year down the line. So, everyone has been very good to me. On-screen my and Sudhanshu Panday characters are at loggerheads but off-screen it's full of affection. The day I met him for the first time on the set, I told him that back in school in 90's he was one of the best models that we have in India as schoolboys we all use to look up to him. And it's great to eventually work with him and the way he performs is fantastic and I feel he does all the justice to the role of Vanraj and that's why Anuj looks the way he is supposed to look. I feel when the negative character does well on the show, the positive automatically looks good and gets boost. So, it's lovely to work with such a senior actor.”
Talking about his journey, Gaurav said, “As far as my television journey is concerned, I feel very lucky and humbled by the fact that I got to play the most amazing characters on the screen. Anupamaa in itself is one of the best shows on television as of now. All the characters on the show are very real.”
“I always wanted to work with Rajan Shahi for the longest time and the moment I got the chance to play this role I was really happy and grasped it with both hands. Appreciation for my character is great and people are loving my character. Wherever I go people have started addressing me as Anuj and it feels amazing. Some come and tell me I have made spectacles back in fashion. I used it just to add age touch to my character and to look it more mature. I am happy that it has worked so well. I hope the audience keeps loving the show,” he signs off.
