Bigg Boss 14 : Eijaz Khan's Brother Imran On Him Being Targeted For Ageism And Pavitra Punia's Liking For Him- EXCLUSIVE
While Bigg boss 14 contestant, Eijaz Khan is winning hearts, his brother Imran is also keeping a close tab on his bro's game. He speaks to us exclusively about Eijaz and the controversies surrounding him and also Pavitra Punia
Eijaz Khan, who became the first finalist in the first finale of Bigg Boss 14 is still going strong in the game. Kkavyanjali actor has proved himself in all the tasks. Although other housemates like Jasmin Bhaisn, Rahul Vaidya and Nikki Tamboli are often seen targeting him for his age, Eijaz's love angle with Pavitra Punia also kept him in buzz.
And now, we spoke to his brother Imran Khan about his stints inside the house and here's what he had to say. Read on;
Why do you feel Eijaz deserves to win the trophy of Bigg Boss 14?
I think Eijaz is playing really well. I just love the way he stood up for himself and held his ground for everything. He has understood the game and is extremely committed to the show more than anybody else. He is trying hard and not lacking anywhere. The best thing is whenever he is being called, he is standing for himself. Eijaz is very authentic and likes to be fair.
When Eijaz informed you guys he is participating in Bigg Boss 14, what was your family's reaction?
Honestly, we were worried. Because there are a lot of conflicts in the house. And Eijaz is someone who doesn't like all this and wants to stay with real people. I was like how will he play these mind games but he had already made up his mind and was ready for it. So, we were also ready to support him.
Eijaz in the show mentioned that he is going through a financial crunch and hence decided to take up the show. Is it true?
I won't get into much about that. But yes last year also he was approached for the show but he was confused with the fact that if he should take such a show at this point of his career. As all said and done, he is an actor first. And he is brilliant in that. But I feel the only reason he has taken this show is because he felt it's a good place for self-discovery. And I guess this show helped him to grow as a person. About the financial thing, I guess he will be the right one to comment.
We have seen Jasmin Bhasin, Nikki Tamboli and Rahul Vaidya targeting him for his age...
At the end of the day, it's a game and everybody brings up whatever they can to stress the other person. So, I think this is all in the spirit of the game. And I feel Eijaz handles it well. I don't know log jo ye sab bolte hain vo kitna personal hota hai ya kitna game ke liye hota hai. The fact is he is an experienced and a wonderful actor. If it's at all about ageism, then I feel it's not right. When Farah Khan had come to the show she had also mentioned its ageism. But I take it in a positive way as he has done so much of work that it feels more like acknowledging that.
Do you feel Pavitra Punia is actually in love with Eijaz?
I can't comment anything about Pavitra but the thing is my brother is a very affectionate guy. And it's very easy to like him as he is very generous. They were being supportive to each other. So it can be possible.
