Charu Asopa On Her Troubled Marriage With Rajeev Sen: 'Waiting For God To Show Me The Direction'- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO
Charu Asopa, who is making her comeback with TV show Akbar Ka Bal Birbal, has been making headlines for her personal life since quite some time. The actress, who tied the knot with Rajeev Sen last year, is having a troubled marriage. The actress is staying in the city whereas her husband Rajeev has moved out to his Delhi residence.

We got a chance to interview the actress recently and amidst our conversation, we asked Charu about the issues she is facing in her marriage. The actress not only shared her thoughts on the same but also discussed her view point on depression and mental illness. Watch the video below:

Many cases of depression and mental illness have come out in the recent past. Especially from the entertainment industry. How has this impacted you?
It definitely makes me feel bad but the good thing is after all this, people have started talking about mental health openly. This is the topic which any individual in this country used to refrain from. If someone was suggested a mental check up, toh logo ko lagta tha ham pagal thodi hai? I feel if you are facing any kind of suffering in your mental health, one should consult a doctor. If we are down with cold and cough, we go to the doctor then what is the problem in going to a doctor for your mental illness? If you feel like crying, getting more aggressive or find any change in your normal behaviour, one should go to the doctor. I still find in our country people have made mental health a taboo. Anger ko log maante hi nahi ki koi illness hai. Anger is also a mental illness.

During this time, did anybody reach out to you to discuss their troubles or tough phase?
Nobody called me to discuss their tough time or depression but there were many of my friends who reached out to me as unko lag raha tha ki kahin main depression mein to nahi? main khud ko kuch kar na loon. So, a lot of people called and asked, 'Charu, are you fine? We are there with you. Don't feel you are alone.' It made me feel really good. However, with God's grace, I was fine.

Charu

So, the awareness is there?
Yes. At least people are reaching out to you. They want to help you. Logo ke beech mein compassion aayi hai, kindness aayi hai which is a very good thing.

What is happening between Rajeev and you now?
Everybody knows this Rajeev is in Delhi and I am staying here in Mumbai alone. Beyond this I am also asking God, 'ab aage kya?' I am also waiting for God's directions.

You mean to say you two haven't decided on anything yet?
Yes, you can say that.
