Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 actor Rrahul Sudhir, who is seen as Vansh in the popular show, was recently shown falling off a cliff, and while his on-screen family was mourning his death, Rrahul's fans also couldn't accept this new twist. Whether Vansh will return or not was a big question and fans were trending 'Only RiAnsh Matters' on Twitter.
Finally, they breathed a sigh of relief as they got to see him back, but it's not Vansh, it's Vihaan. And Vihaan is here with a new motive and a new look.
Rrahul, who rocked a full beard and moustache effortlessly, was seen with a stubble looking handsome as ever but many of them were not happy with it. We spoke to Rrhaul about the look change, Twitter trend, shaving off his beard and much more. Read on:
Your fans made you trend on Twitter for your no beard look. Were you expecting that?
I really don't know if there is an authentic fan reaction. But yes there was a Twitter trend and it was funny to see that they can't accept me without a beard. I didn't know that a beard would make so much of a difference or it was the character which was making the difference. But I want to tell them it is the same guy doing the same thing. Are you feeling nervous after that?
You tend to get happy when you realise what you have done has left an impact. And it sort of relates to you but this new character is also a new challenge. And I have to make sure that this works too or else it will make me feel failed as an actor. There have been a lot of memes and people have had these mixed reactions. I understand their emotions attached with Vansh and kudos to my team who created such an icon that people can't accept the same guy as somebody else. That is the power of writing and I think the credit has to be given to the producers especially Mamta Mam.
How did you personally react when creatives informed you about this development?
My look change has come as a surprise to people but I was sort of prepared for that. When I signed this show, I knew this was going to happen. And I was so looking forward to this moment. I was very keen because this way I could create a new journey for Vansh. And that's how the character will move forward from one point to a certain direction. As I was already aware about this since beginning I had to keep my character in a certain way. The whole excitement to sign this show was that one day this guy was going to die. And somebody else will take his place.
Which look are you more comfortable with?
I am comfortable not showing my face at all. But since I am in the field of acting and getting paid for being someone else, I think the clean shave look is a little easier to maintain in a little less hassle. And I also personally believe that if your beard look has worked then the clean shaven look also has to work. That is a personal challenge in my life and I will make sure I nail it.
What is the best part of this new look?
The best part is not change in look but change in character. Vansh was very well kept sheek and a typical mafia character who is always dressed in suits and the voice was very intimidating. Hairstyle used to be always neat. This guy is casual, easy, baggage free and a hacker, so not just the look but the entire character has a change in it.
What are you going to miss the most about your previous look?
I am missing the baritone and style that I have put for Vansh. And now I can't use them or else this guy would sound like Vansh. I am sure fans will find this new guy equally entertaining.
