Jennifer Winget Had Inquired Something About Tanuj Virwani Before Starting Code M, Guess What?- Watch Exclusive Video
Code M stars Jennifer Winget, Tanuj Virwani and Rajat Kapoor engaged in an exclusive chat with SpotboyE.com as they spoke about their web show, shared interesting incidences and also revealed whom would they like to decode if given a chance
Television's favourite Jennifer Winget is set to debut on the digital space with her upcoming web show, Code M. Jennifer who is playing an army girl on the show will be starring opposite Tanuj Virwani and Rajat Kapoor. We caught up with the gang to decode everything about the series and they did tell us who would they like to investigate from the industry, if given a chance.
Jennifer, what was your reaction when you were approached for Code M?
Jennifer: The minute I heard that they wanted me to play an army officer, I said to myself, ‘Yes! I want to do this’. Then, I met Samar Khan and when he gave me a narration, I started having second thoughts about it.
Tanuj: Yeah, because she doesn't know how to play basket ball.
Jennifer: That was the only apprehension I had as rightly said by Tanuj (laughs). But yes, I was excited. It's just that a little bit of nervousness has been added.
Rajat, what kind of reaction did you receive since the release of the trailer?
Rajat: One friend of mine has liked the trailer. That's the reaction I have got.
Jennifer: Ouch! You need new friends Rajat Sir.
Tanuj, we heard that it’s been a decade of you knowing Jennifer?
Tanuj: It was Jennifer herself who brought this to my notice. One day, during the shoot, she told me about how she had come to my house party, some 10 years ago. When I got a call for this show, the rest of the cast- Rajat Sir, Seema Biswas and Jennifer were already there. So this made my life easier as I thought if experienced actors like them have given their nod, how could I say a ‘No’.
Rajat, we hear Jennifer had a very interesting question regarding Tanuj. Tell us about it?
Rajat: I remember my first meeting with Jennifer. We were reading scripts together and I complimented her on her Hindi to which she said that it has improved over the years as she has been doing TV since a long time. And then, she asked me as to how tall is Tanuj.
Jennifer, tell us the story behind the question?
Jennifer: Because I am a short girl. In other shows, you can wear heels. But if you are playing an army officer, you can't wear stilettos and walk around. And Tanuj is really very tall.
Tanuj: But you stand tall. Actually there is a thing on set called alti palti (A wooden box) so it worked out for her.
Jennifer, you have done quite a lot of action scenes on this show. How was the experience?
Jennifer: It was fun. It wasn't that easy while we were shooting in Jodhpur as it was really hot there and a lot of running was required for the shoot. But I was enjoying it as I was doing something like this for the first time. And now when you see everything come together, I feel it was all worth it.
Rajat, being a senior, did you ever show your strict side in front of these two?
Jennifer: I must give you a trivia. When I got to know that I am working with Rajat Sir, the first character that came to my mind was… (Tanuj interrupts)
Tanuj: Dil Chahta Hai’s Mama. I too got excited by this fact.
Jennifer: So just to have an opportunity to work with someone like him was something I was really looking forward to. And I recall our first meeting and noticed that he doesn't speak a lot. He’s a man of few words.
Rajat: You asked me a question and she took over and then you are telling me, I don't talk much.
Jennifer: But I am talking about you only and that too, all good things. Honestly, it was intimidating initially but with time, I got a lot to learn from him.
Tanuj: My experience with him was a little rocky. So when I met him on the set, I had seen the Avengers End Game and I am a huge superhero fan. So when I told this to him he went into some sort of mental trauma. Both of these guys were judging me and in return, I was judging them.
Who was more disciplined amongst the two, Rajat?
Rajat: I have not worked much with Tanuj. Most of my scenes were with Jennifer and I would say she is very dedicated towards her work.
In this show, you all are investigating an open and shut case. If given a chance, who would you like to investigate from the industry and why?
Tanuj: Oh, so you want some masaaledar answer.
Jennifer: Since I have said Rajat Sir is man of very few words, I would really like to crack this code, 'CODE R'. He is been into the industry for so long that I’m sure there would be a lot of interesting stuff about him which I would like to know.
Rajat: For me, probably it would be Mr. Bachchan. I grew up as a huge fan of his films in 70's era. He was incredible in those films. And I don't know how his persona has changed over the years. But I really want to see him more of that Bachchan.
Tanuj: I would definitely want to decode Aditya Chopra as I don't believe he actually exists. He is a legend perhaps not a man. I would like to know if he is real, as I have grown watching his films.
Lastly, Jennifer and Tanuj, certain media reports claim that you two are in love…
Tanuj: We called each other and laughed together. We were holidaying in two different parts of the world. And it just happened to be our Christmas and New Year’s holiday. People these days add 2 and 2 and make it 22.
Jennifer: You know me for so many years. Has any news bothered me ever?
Tanuj: This is nothing just a child play (laughs).
