Why were you not taking calls when Mona was getting married? Why had you gone in hiding?
(Laughs) I was not in hiding but yes, I was not taking calls because Mona really didn't want me to speak about it before everything was over.
I understand but how about it now?
Yes go on.
When did you know that Mona wanted to get married to Shyam?
She told me from day 1 when she started liking him. So I was in the loop.
But the protection tendencies of a bestie come into play?
Like what?
Like who is he, what is he doing, I want to meet him and so on…
Yes of course, those tendencies came into play and I met Shyam. Right from the first meeting I knew that Mona had not made the wrong choice. My go-ahead mattered to Mona.

Yeah, he is a nice guy, very sweet.
Is he reserved or boisterous?
Actually, he is bang on. He is neither reserved nor boisterous. He speaks exactly how much it matters. He also has a good sense of humour.
You must be very happy to see Mona as a bride?
Definitely. And, she looked lovely.
So where did the marriage happen?
It happened in Army's Club. We followed it up with a party at The Little Door, Andheri West.
So, is Mona going to continue working after marriage?
Yes of course!
Will she be based in Mumbai?
Yes.
So what exactly happened at the wedding? Any prank played?
Yes of course, meri team ne Shyam ke joote chhupaye and we took money from him (laughs).
