Shehnaaz Gill Regrets Participating In MSK: Contestant Mayur Verma Reacts, 'We Knew It On The 3rd Day She Isn't Keen On Marrying'- EXCLUSIVE
Mayur Verma, one of the participants on the reality show Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, speaks about Shehnaaz Gill and also reveals how on the 3rd day itself, they got a hint that she doesn't intend to marry on the show
It'sbeen quite some time that Shehnaaz Gill and Paras Chhabra starrer reality show Mujhse Shaadi Karoge went off air. We had exclusively brought to you the story as to how Shehnaaz Gill walked out during the finale episode. Recently, Shehnaaz while talking to a leading daily revealed that she regrets participating in the show.
Talking to TOI, Shehnaz had said, “After a point, I was irritated about guys coming on the show to appease and impress me. I regret taking up that show.” And now, we have spoken to Mayur Verma, who had participated in the show to marry her about Shehnaaz's statement. Excerpts from our conversation:
Shehnaaz said that she regrets taking up the show. Your thoughts?
We both belong to Punjab and people out there don't believe that reality shows are real. We always think that it will be telecast that way but it's scripted. Earlier too, whenever a Swayamvar happened, we read stories that it was fixed. And I think that's what Shehnaaz must have thought while signing Mujhse Shaadi Karoge. But when she started staying inside, she must have felt that this is real and she made a bad decision.
So when you guys signed Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, were you guys told that it will not be a real show?
When I signed the show, I was told that we are coming up with a show wherein Shehnaaz Gill and Paras Chhabra will be holding their Swayamvar on National TV. I had to impress Shehnaaz and win her on the show. They told me that if I manage to survive till the end then, I would be shown getting married to Shehnaaz.
So you were okay to get married on National TV?
See, like I told you, we were always under the impression that reality shows are not real. So I thought why not and after Bigg Boss 13, Shehnaaz had become a star. I also liked her during the show. I wanted to work with her and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Shehnaaz also said she never had her heart in the show...
She never wanted to get married and we all got a hint of it from the 3rd day. I remember she told us ‘Aap sabko mere aur Sidharth ke baare mein pata hai ki main usko pasand karti hoon and voh bhi mujhe pasand karta hai. To aap log ghar ke andar time enjoy karo, tasks karo. Audience should feel that the best boys have come for Shehnaaz. We used to in fact crack jokes at times that shaadi toh hamari tujhse hone nahi wali. So teri shaadi jab Sidharth se hogi to hum hi teri gaadi ko dhakka maarenge.
