It’s been 9 years since the band- One Direction was formed and who knew that one day they would become the biggest boy band ever. The band originally consisted of 5 members Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomilson. Zayn, however, left the group in 2015 and the group eventually split off and moved onto their own successful solo careers. One direction has been on a hiatus since January 2016. The fandom has seen their fair share of ups and downs but they have not come in the way of the fandom celebrating #9YearsOfOneDirection. 

As #9YearOfOneDirection is trending on Twitter, the die-hard fans are pouring in love for the biggest boy band ever. There are some fans who are sharing some snaps from their concerts and tagging them 'legends' while some said that the band played an important role in their lives. One fan wrote, "Happy 9th Anniversary 🎉 My feelings are mixed, may your career continue to shine alone or together. Even though I really want to see you together like 9 years ago. I miss you the boys 💙 #9YearOfOneDirection" 










When the band split up, there were fans who were so not OK with the fact and went on to their social media handle to start a trend for the same. The fans had also started up a campaign for saving the band from splitting up. Now that it's been 9 years, the fans are becoming nostalgic and expressing the same on their social media handle.
