‘Gay Tha, Touchy‑Touchy Sa Ho Gaya Tha’: Abhishek Kumar Recalls Terrifying Casting‑Couch Encounter

Actor Abhishek Kumar, known from Bigg Boss 17, has revealed a harrowing casting‑couch experience during his early days in Mumbai. He said it occurred approximately two months after his arrival in the city. “It happened around 2 months after I arrived in the city. He was gay, he got all touchy‑touchy,” the actor said.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Abhishek elaborated: “Mere saath ek incident ho gaya tha. Touchy touchy sa ho gaya tha... Gay tha koi,” he confessed, without sharing further details. He added he was thrown off guard by the encounter. "I got scared, I could not process what was happening," he said, explaining how the person tried to manipulate him by insinuating he needed to comply to succeed in the industry.
The trauma was so intense that he took the next train home, overwhelmed with emotion. “I took a train the next day. I was sitting in the general compartment and went home crying,” he revealed. He admitted he called his mother, who urged him to return home, and he couldn’t bring himself to reveal the truth to his family when he initially moved to Mumbai.
Deeply affected, Abhishek paused his acting pursuit and took a modest job earning ₹7,000 per month. Yet, despite this setback, his passion for acting rekindled after some time, prompting his return to Mumbai.
Today, he has reclaimed his space in the entertainment world with appearances in Bigg Boss 17, Udaariyaan, Bekaboo, Tere Mere Beech Mein, a cameo in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, and Laughter Chefs 2.
