"I couldn’t accept the fact that he was actually gone": Jasmin Bhasin Recalls Sidharth Shukla’s Death, Reveals She Suffered Anxiety Attack
Actress Jasmin Bhasin recently shared a deeply emotional account of how Sidharth Shukla’s untimely death in 2021 affected her mental health. She revealed that the news of his passing led to her experiencing her first-ever anxiety attack. At the time, she was in Kashmir with no internet access. Upon reaching the airport, she overheard people discussing his death but couldn’t believe it. Once she landed in Mumbai and confirmed the news, she was left numb for several days. "I couldn’t accept the fact that he was actually gone," she said.

Reflecting on the shock and grief, Jasmin spoke about how his sudden demise made her realize the fragility of life. “His death taught me the biggest lesson of life, that nothing is permanent,” she stated. She also urged people to mend broken relationships and not leave things unresolved. “Toh waqt rehte sare gile shikwe door kar lene chahiye kyunki waqt ka kuch pata nahin” (One should sort out their differences because you never know what the future holds). She added, “The person is gone, but you live with the pain and regret that ‘kash baat kar liya hota’ (I wish I had spoken to them).”

Jasmin remembered Sidharth as someone who always encouraged her, especially during their time on the show Dil Se Dil Tak. She called him her “biggest cheerleader,” recounting how he would go out of his way to comfort her when she felt nervous on set. Despite some misunderstandings between them, she always admired how respectful and kind he was, especially toward women.

Sidharth Shukla passed away on September 2, 2021, due to a heart attack. Jasmin’s memories reflect the deep bond they shared and highlight the importance of valuing people while they’re still around.
