Actress turned politician, Nusrat Jahan recently announced that she is living separately from husband Nikhil Jain. The actress was rumoured to be pregnant. And now, as per the latest report, she has welcomed her first child. Yes, you read that right! The actress has given birth to a baby boy.
Nusrat Jahan, who was admitted to the hospital in Park Street on Wednesday evening, gave birth to the child around 12.20 pm, a source at the hospital said. Both the mother and the baby are doing fine and under the watchful eye of the doctors, the source said. As of now, she has not shared any post related to the good news. Though she didn't confirm her pregnancy, photos of the actress flaunting her baby bump had gone viral on social media. In June, she shared her bunch of photos on Instagram and many believed she was hiding her baby bump. She captioned the photo as, "Kindness changes everything."
Amid rumours of her pregnancy, she has been sharing her photos on Instagram. For the uninitiated, Nusrat had announced her split from husband Nikhil a couple of months ago and released an official statement. In her statement, she had said that their nuptials took place according to Turkish Law and therefore, were not valid in India. Nusrat Jahan and Nikhil got married in the Turkish town, Bodrum in 2019. Jahan's estranged husband Nikhil Jain said, "There might be differences between us, but I am wishing the newborn and his mother all the best. I wish the baby boy has a bright future."
Shortly after announcing her split from Nikhil Jain, Nusrat had shared a photo of herself and wrote in the caption, "I won't be remembered as a woman who can keep her mouth shut.. and I'm Ok with that.. #throwbackpic #deserted #retrospective." The post went viral on social media.
