After Bollywood Producers File A Lawsuit Against News Channels, Journalists Arnab Goswami And Rajdeep Sardesai's Throwback 'Soft-Spoken' Video Goes Viral
Reportedly, big producers of Bollywood have come together to file a lawsuit against certain news channels who used words such as 'scum', 'druggies' and more to describe the industry. For a few months, news channels have been reporting about Sushant Singh Rajput's death case and alleged consumption of drugs by certain Bollywood stars. After the Narcotics Control Bureau stepped in to investigate, names of many stars came to fore. After all of this, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and other producers filed a lawsuit against two news channels - Republic TV and Times Now. Amidst this, an old video of Arnab Goswami and Rajdeep Sardedai has gone viral.

Netizens are recalling the times when news broadcast was done in a 'soft-spoken' and 'civilised' manner. While sharing the video, a netizen wrote, "This is what normal broadcast news used to be. Soft-spoken and civilized. This normal is so different from our current normal that it seems abnormal. News is supposed to inform and educate, and not divide and spread hate. #MakeBroadcastNewsNormalAgain."

Even Rajdeep Sardesai has shared the video with the caption, "This video makes me wonder: does news mirror the times in which we live? Was the world less ugly, spiteful, less polarised 20 years ago? Or did News tv just lose its moral compass and become more noisy? Thought for the day. Responses welcome!"

The lawsuit on behalf of leading production houses has been filed by DSK Legal firm. The lawsuit says, "This comes in the wake of these channels using highly derogatory words and expressions for Bollywood such as 'dirt', 'filth', 'scum', 'druggies' and expressions such as 'it is Bollywood where the dirt needs to be cleaned', 'all the perfumes of Arabia cannot take away the stench and the stink of this filth and scum of the underbelly of Bollywood', 'This is the dirtiest industry in the country', and 'cocaine and LSD drenched Bollywood'," as reported by Free Press Journal.
