Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Nanavati Hospital after he tested positive for Coronavirus. Big B took to his Twitter to inform fans about the same and gave an update. In his tweet, he mentioned that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been shifted to a hospital. He also mentioned that his family and staff have also been tested and that results are awaited. Soon, Bollywood stars, politicians as well as fans of the legendary actor started praying for his speedy recovery. Politicians such as Omar Abdullah, Devendra Fadnavis, Akhilesh Yadav and others sent best wishes for his recovery.

Amitabh Bachchan’s tweet read, “T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !” Devendra Fadnavis, Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, wrote, "We all wish and pray for your speedy recovery! Get well soon @SrBachchan ji !" Omar Abdullah, former CM of Jammu and Kashmir tweeted, “Wishing you a complete & speedy recovery @SrBachchan Sahib. Let this be one among the many fights you’ve fought & won, both real & reel."

After Amitabh Bachchan, reports of Abhishek Bachchan testing positive for Coronavirus also surfaced and soon after, Abhishek himself confirmed that both he and his father have tested positive for COVID-19 and have mild symptoms. Abhishek wrote, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”
