Amy Schumer Accused Of Stealing Joke On Leonardo DiCaprio at Oscars 2022; THIS Tweet Is Proof!
Will Smith has been making it to the headlines ever since his slapgate incident with Chris Rock. The ace actor has got everyone talking about the Oscars, which has ultimately sparked a meme fest on social media.

But, there’s more to the Academy Awards this year than just the smackdown. Turns out a joke by Amy Schumer was allegedly ‘stolen’ from an internet user and netizens are trolling the comedian on social media.

The comedian took aim at Leonardo DiCaprio during the opening monologue at the Oscars.

“Leonardo DiCaprio, what can I even say about him," Amy Schumer said, adding, "He has done so much to fight climate change and leave behind a cleaner, greener planet for his girlfriends. Because he's older and they are younger. Okay, you get it.”

Many celebrities in the audience, including Will Smith, Timothée Chalamet and Jessica Chastain, gasped at this joke as they covered their heads with their hands. Leonardo, 47, has often been roasted for his relationships with younger women at award show.

However, viewers are now trolling the host for stealing the joke from an old tweet. The recent development comes from a tweet shared on December 24, 2021, and wherein a Twitter user posted a tweet on social media cracking the same joke.

The user's tweet read, “Leonardo DiCaprio is so passionate about climate change because he wants to leave a better word for his girlfriends (sic).”

Amy, incidentally, used the same joke in the tweet mentioned above during her opening momologue as a host at Oscars 2022. Fans took to Twitter to slam the comedian for not bringing in anything original at the event. They also accused her of stealing someone else’s joke.

Interestingly, Amy Schumer also took aim at Will Smith’s King Richard, saying that during the pandemic, Hollywood made movies about women. She also joked about the hosts being three women as one man would have demanded more remuneration.

Oscars 2022 was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
