Hollywood star Angelina Jolie’s lookalike, Sahar Tabar, has made it to the headlines once again. Last time, Sahar was trending on social media when she shared weird pictures of her on the internet. She left social media users in frenzy with her drastic transformation pictures, where her face had similarities to the Maleficent actress. Tabar managed to alter her appearance like Jolie’s look from Maleficent. Her pictures also saw the sharp jawlines changes and more. Reportedly, the Iranian teenager has been sentenced to prison.
According to a report in the Guardian, Angelina Jolie’s mirror image, Sahar Tabar, whose name is Fatemeh Khishvand, has been jailed for 10 years. She has been sentenced to prison for sharing distorted images of her, as per reports. The report also stated that she is also in jail for drastically altering her face and appearance. The report said that Sahar Tabar claimed that she has not been under the knife. She claimed that no surgery was involved to achieve the appearance and that she gets the Maleficent look by makeup and editing.
As per the report, the 19-year-old internet sensation is charged with corruption of young people. She is also charged with disrespect for the Islamic Republic. The report stated that Sahar is booked under the charges of blasphemy, inciting violence, gaining income through inappropriate means and encouraging youths to corruption. Amidst all this, the report stated that Tabar also asked Angelina Jolie to campaign for her release. She said, “The Islamic Republic has a history of tormenting women. We need to be united against this gender apartheid."
Meanwhile, according to the report, Sahar Tabar’s lawyer revealed that two of four charges against the internet sensation have been cleared. The 19-year-old was sentenced to prison in October 2019. In April 2020, she reportedly contracted COVID-19. The report stated that when Tabar tested positive for the deadly virus, her lawyer tried to get her released on health ground, but failed. Sahar’s medical records in the past have also indicated that she has a history of mental illness, with visits to psychiatric hospitals, said the report.
