Bidisha De Majumdar Commits Suicide: Bengali Actress and Model Found Dead At Her Kolkata Apartment, Probe Still Under Process - Reports
Police have sent Bidisha De Mazumdar's body to a hospital in Kolkata for postmortem
In a rather shocking turn of events, 21-year-old Bengali actor and model Vidisha De Majumdar was found dead at her apartment in Kolkata. The actress was found dead hanging after police entered her house by breaking the door on May 25. The police officials are currently investigating the case, and the cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
Police have sent Bidisha's body to a hospital in Kolkata for postmortem. The news of Bidisha's demise comes days after the death of actor Pallavi Dey shocked the Bengal film industry.
As per the latest reports, the Bengali actor Bidisha used to live with her boyfriend in the flat. The police officials have found a suicide note near the late actor’s body which mentioned that she is taking the extreme step due to the lack of career opportunities.
A police official also informed that handwriting experts would be examining the letter.
Bidisha, who lived with her boyfriend Anubhav Bera, had an unhappy relationship with him and she was suffering from depression due to the same, as claimed by her friends.
In the year 2021, Bidisha De Majumdar made her debut with Anirbed Chattopadhyay's short film Bhar - The Clown. Famous actor Debraj Mukherjee played an important role in this film.
Speaking of Dey, the famous Bengali TV actress died under suspicious circumstances. Pallavi's body was found hanging from a noose in a flat located in Garfa area of Kolkata. Pallavi was living in that flat with her live-in-partner and he informed the police about it. To note, no suicide note was recovered from the apartment and the preliminary investigation suggests that the police learnt of a recent argument between Pallavi and her live-in-partner over some unknown issue.
