The world seems to be full of bizarre developments, but this time a news update from our own beloved nation has grabbed everyone’s attention! And it just couldn’t get any weird.
An Indian college has reportedly gone to the extreme lengths of welcoming their students with pictures of former pornstars Mia Khalifa and Sunny Leone.
It's a known fact that Sunny and Mia have gained much popularity as pornstars and the former adult film stars’ professional career continues to soar even after their retirement. While Mia has been making waves on social media for being vocal about the issues that interest her, Sunny has been making it big with her acting career in Bollywood. She has starred in several movies and even participated in Big Boss.
Notably, Mia and Sunny are quite popular amongst the youngsters but, welcoming them for a college event seems to have had a sour taste among netizens.
The much-uproar sparked after a photo of a 2016 banner from Sree Narayana Polytechnic College in Kerala went viral for all the wrong reasons. The welcome banner featured pictures of Mia Khalifa and Sunny Leone in an attempt to invite the college students.
To everyone’s surprise, the photos apparently had the former pornstars dressed in traditional Indian clothes as they folded their hands to greet the students. Apart from them, another banner featured a photo of the famous adult star, Johnny Sins.
In case you don’t know, Johnny Sins is also known to be one of the most popular personalities amongst the younger generation and he has also emerged as the top male adult star searched on the internet.
The banner actually went on to read, "Welcome Freshers” in Malayalam.
Well, who in their right mind would decline such a warm invite? Exactly, no one!
For the uninitiated, Mia Khalifa is a Lebanese-American media personality, former pornographic actress, and webcam model, who actually began acting in porn films back in October 2014.
She turned out to be one of the most-viewed performers on Pornhub in two months, but her career met with controversy in the Middle East. Ultimately, she ceased performing in adult films in 2015. Yet she continues to hold her position as the most recognizable adult entertainers of the past decade, however, her experiences left her disillusioned with the industry.
