BLOOPER: Mumbai Indians Pay Tribute To The Undertaker On His Retirement; Share A Pic Of Rohit Sharma INSTEAD
It was just recently when WWE wrestler Mark Calaway who goes by the name of The Undertaker announced his retirement. During the WWE docuseries the Last Ride, The Undertaker opened up about his last Wrestle Mania 36 match and expressed how he had no intentions in returning back to the ring and is very content of leaving it. Now, as The Undertaker recently announced his retirement, IPL team Mumbai Indians pays tribute to Mark Calaway by sharing a picture of Rohit Sharma holding the WWE belt instead.

Taking to their official Twitter handle, IPL team Mumbai Indians shared a picture of captain Rohit Sharma holding the WWE belt and tweeted, “30 legendary years. #ThankYouTaker #OneFamily @WWE @undertaker @ImRo45.” As 'The Undertaker' has had a long career of 30 years, in the tweet, the IPL paid their tribute to The Undertaker and wrote, “#ThankYouTaker,” thanking the man for entertaining over the years. Sharing the picture of Rohit Sharma, the IPL team said how they are one family.

While you might wonder about IPL team Mumbai Indians' social media team sharing a wrong picture of The Undertaker, not everyone remembers how the pictures of Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma holding the belt dates back to 2017. The pictures are from when WWE COO and 14-time World Champion Triple H presented the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians with a custom-made championship belt for their big-win during the games that year. The tweet made by Triple H read, “.@MIPaltan @ImRo45 as promised, the @WWE Title is on its way... Congratulations! @WWEIndia.”

Meanwhile, the belt that Rohit Sharma is spotted holding has the name of IPL team Mumbai Indians inscribed on the side plates in blue. As the plated on a belt represent the holder of that particular championship, Mumbai Indians posted pictures of their caption Rohit Sharma holding it back in the days when the belt was delivered to the IPL winning team.
