Brad Pitt reveals how he has decided to give up on alcohol post his split from actress Angelina Jolie
Once upon a time in Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were among one of the most admired couples. However, due to some irreconcilable differences, the two parted ways back in September 2016, leaving fans in shock. While this hasn’t been an easy journey for the two, in a recent interview, the Fight Club actor has spilt the beans on its bright side, which happened after his split from Angelina. It turns out that Brad Pitt has decided to give up on his drinking habits.
During his conversation, Brad Pitt also revealed that used to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, wherein men would gather to open up on their life and drinking problems. “It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself. There’s great value in that,” said the actor. Brad further added how all the media attention that he got in his career’s initial phase used to make him feel uncomfortable. “In the ’90s, all that attention really threw me. It was really uncomfortable for me, the cacophony of expectations and judgments. I really became a bit of a hermit and just bonged myself into oblivion,” concluded Brad.
Earlier, a source close to the actor, in a chat with Hollywood Life had revealed, “Brad has been able to maintain his sobriety despite the enormous amount of stress and legal pressure put upon him by Angelina during their ongoing divorce war. During the most challenging time in Brad’s life, he is happy and proud that he has been able to maintain his good health and sobriety. Brad has persevered through these tough days with a lot of hard work and determination to better himself.”
On the work front, Brad Pitt is basking in the success of recently release Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which also starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie and Al Pacino among others.
