CAA: Kangana Ranaut Calls Bollywood Stars ‘Sissies’, Talks About Being On The 'Threshold Of A Great Possibility'
Millions of people hit the streets to protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), after the bill was passed into an act. The act was passed on December 11, 2019, and several angry protesters demanded the amended citizenship law to be scrapped. The ongoing protests and the violent clashes between Delhi police and Jamia Millia students further escalated the unrest. Just a few days ago, #ShameOnBollywood was trending on Twitter as a section of Twitterverse slammed the Bollywood biggies for their silence on such a huge matter. Now, Kangana Ranaut has addressed Bollywood stars’ silence on and has called them spineless.

Responding to the social media outrage over Bollywood stars’ silence on CAA, Kangana Ranaut, in an interview with ETimes, said that Bollywood is full of cowards and all they do is look in the mirror and don’t bother about the country as they come from privilege. She said that some of the stars are hiding behind their comfort zones thinking that they are above the nation. “People are noticing how indifferent they are to the nation and its people and to what is going on in the nation. They are indifferent and that's why I think that trend is absolutely justified.” She further said that the Bollywood stars are running scared of being trolled and afraid of political parties and if that is the case, the people of India need to know that they don't deserve these platforms. “They are the most scared human beings I've ever seen. They are sissies. They are cowards. They're spineless people. That's why they bully outsiders, they bully girls because they are cowards. And I feel there is really no hope for them. We need to stop projecting them as icons, we need to stop projecting them as our torchbearers, we need to see them for who they are.” ALSO READ: CAA: Farhan Akhtar Requests Followers To Join Protest, IPS Officer Says He Has Committed An Offence, Asks Mumbai Police To Take Action

Speaking about her message to the people, Kangana Ranaut said that the country is at the ‘threshold of a great possibility’ and that now is the time where ‘decisive decisions are being taken.’ She said, “We will finally know what is India what is not India who is an Indian who is not an Indian because that clarity no one has yet, you know the governments before have made sure that we do not know our borders and we do not know our population.”
